Yes, and don't forget about rope. based on tomb paintings we can see pics of thousands of workmen hauling huge statues with very, very long, ultra strong ropes.
Ropes woven from Nile reeds ????

It was many years ago, but I think the Giza pyramids were there at the time!
Ah. Didnt know you'd been. Had they got round to finishing the pyramids by then?

Well yes, but they'd also started to knock them down again, at least in places!

Would have thought so. Not really sure what other suitable materials would have been available in sufficient quantities

Quick question...I believe Egypt can get quite warm at times. Do you think that they might have worked during the night when things were a bit cooler?

Good thinking. I sure would not want to work in the Egyptian summer in that blazing sun.
I was there in March/April, 2007 and it was not bad at all.

PS: I had hired a driver while I was in Luxor. Driver was about in his mid 20's. It started to sprinkle, and my driver got so excited. He said that was the 1st time in his life he had ever seen rain. (not real rain, mind you, just a steady sprinkle)
Ha Ha. I wonder what he would have thought about the heavy HORIZONAL rain of Oregon.

I would like to ask the PRODUCER of that video one thing.
"How did the Egyptians get water to run UPHILL. "
The Giza Plateau is significantly higher than the Nile river. aprox 550 feet HIGHER

Personally, I think many youtube videos are produced simply for the advertising money and NOT because they actually believe such things.
