Junket

Does anyone have junket anymore? My mother used to give it to us when we were kids. I always thought it was disgusting. I haven't seen or heard of it since I was a child.

Re: Junket

I remember having junket at a child ...... horrible stuff which reminded me of watery, curdled custard!

Supermarkets still sell rennet so I suppose there must be people around who still make junket...

As rennet is also used in cheese making I suspect that why it is still sold, some people like to make their own cheese.

Re: Junket

I've never heard of junket as being a foodstuff, I always thought it was a fun day out at the firm's expense....

Yes Barry, but the term you are referring to originated in the foodstuff.

Janella was it 'Little miss Muffet' junket with a picture of a girl and a spider on the front ?

I think the introduction of Yoghurt killed junket.
