Re: Cooking bacon

I am like Hazel I always microwave bacon - just wrap the rashers individually in paper and cook on high, they can be done anywhere from crisp to just cooked. Turn them over half way through. So easy.

The only other way I cook them is on the BBQ outside when I am making a meal there.

Re: Cooking bacon

I do ours on the George machine. Single layers and only the minimum time to say its cooked. I hate it crispy or coloured. Andy likes his cooked a bit longer.

Re: Cooking bacon

There is an alternative way to cook bacon rashers. Lay them (raw) on a layer of suet pudding mixture, sprinkle on sage & onion and Parsley & Thyme stuffing mix. Roll up tight and wrap in a pudding cloth and/or tin foil to make it water tight. Place in a saucepan/steamer and cook thoroughly - Voila!!!! Bacon pudding!!! - absolutely delicious!!!

Re: Cooking bacon

Bacon ummm love it! Seperate rashers grilled until nice and crispy placed onto nice fresh bread or toast with brown sauce or ketchup. On a hungry day slap a fried egg on! Naughty but nice.
