Another of my poems.
IF ONLY.
She wandered past the station,
Her small dog by her side.
A pastie in her worn out hands,
which she tried hard to hide.
Her torn red coat was filthy.
Her dirty hands were cold.
She sat down on the pavement,
feeling sad and oh so old.
She use to be a lady.
But now she is a tramp.
Who made her bed in boxes.
Smelly cold and damp.
What caused them both to quarrel?
Why did they choose to part?
When once he was her husband.
The great love of her heart.
If she could just say sorry,
For all the things she said.
Then she could be back home with him,
and in her nice warm bed.

Re: Another of my poems.
I haven't been anywhere; well not quite true, I have been in Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, but I have been posting when I have access to wifi. Back in Oz at Easter.
At the moment I am in a town called Jitra in the northern part of peninsula Malaysia near the Thai border.
