One is a lovely blue long sleeved Ralph Lauren, the other a more pedestrian grey Levis. Cheered me up a bit.

That's just it; I wonder when I am going home, they're unlikely to release me before the infection is identified and treatable.

I think the Consultant will have sped things up so probably early next week. He wants to take a look at my back, really.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I've just been told that if I left the hospital I'd have around 48 hours to live. They're pouring every antibiotic into me, some very strong ones yet still I get these temperature spikes.

This is scarier than either of my 2 cancers before. At least with them, one had the right to expect certain reactions, but only paracetamol is keeping me alive at the moment. Sobering thoughts. I just hope something shows up in imaging next week.

Oh Jesus mate, I don't know what to say.
Just try to take your mind off it if you possibly can I suppose Ffosse. I'm so sorry for you.

It brings it home and makes one think about some of the threads and posts that we share on this forum (and others). When we chat about not feeling too well, or on the other hand feeling sorry for ourselves about a bad hangover as I was doing earlier. I'm actually embarrassed about what I wrote in those threads today when I read that above post of yours. We read that and then skip about the forum in a second and totally change our thoughts by posting something on a 'happy' thread and carrying on regardless. I'm ashamed of myself.

It's like news bulletins when the newscasters report about some bad thing such as famine or a murder with a very sorrowful face, then instantly have a big smile and are laughing as they chat about some wacky celeb or someone. There's something not quite right about that.

Take care best you can, Ffosse. Regards.
