Re: Bercow to make a Statement at 3.30pm

Well, found out a little about this, it seems that MP's are discussing proroguing Parliament and the solicitor general ends this Parliamentary session so that Theresa May can bring back her Brexit deal before the house in the new session. But this will involve Her Majesty, the Queen, proroguing Parliament for a short period of time, thus ending the current session and entering a new one, involving the need to deliver a new Queens speech and attend a state opening of Parliament if prorogation takes place.

That is the law and MPs would have to have a new vote to change the law.

I wonder as time is getting short now if any late motion (say next week) to prevent our leaving on the 29th for instance revoking article 50 could be 'talked out'.

J Rees Mogg has had an eye to prorogation for some time now, he mentioned it in reply during a debate some weeks ago.

Re: Bercow to make a Statement at 3.30pm

Sorry, keep finding out bits and bobs. Apparently prorogation is a prerogative act of the Crown, taken on the advice of the Prime Minister. So it looks very much like the Speaker of the House with his decision, has caused a Constitutional Crisis. Well done Bercow!

I appreciate the vote on No Deal was not binding Swimmy, but the way I feel now, I just want to leave without a deal then in two weeks time. I am utterly sick to death of the antics that have taken place in that madhouse.
It is shameful and a humiliation.
