Re: 2020 Winter Fuel Payment Now Due

Mine came this morning. £200.

I'm sure it was £300 last year, and the mother-in-law received £300 this year.

My letter included the statement that "we worked out your payment during the week of 21 September 2020 to 27 September 2020. This is called the 'qualifying week'".

I have no idea how this would affect the payment or the amount. Can anyone explain?

I'm 68 and my wife is 59 so, looking at the details online, £200 is correct. I still seem to remember getting £300 last year, though, but perhaps the numbers are different this year.

Hubby and I both get £100, so maybe if you're over 80 you get an extra £100. My friend will be 80 at the beginning of the year , and she'll get a whopping 25P extra in her pension...wow she won't know what to spend it on...

My understanding was a couple receives £300, and singletons get £200. Still nothing for me yet.
