I agree Spitty. The days of the old philosophers are gone.
Today the world is full of all sorts of modern philosophers who spout a load of testicology, Google-wise geezers young and old, quoters, copy and pasters, general smart arses, and just plain wasters.
They are everywhere you go, my local is bursting at the sides with them. There are more now than ever before since Google arrived, experts in everything are coming out of the woodwork, yes my friends, Google has become the new Oracle, today if Google says it’s true that’s it, it must be true.
Even our good Chinese friends today no longer quote Confucius, they quote Google instead, gone are the days of the wise old bearded geezer sat with his legs crossed dishing out his advice from the top of a mountain, these days your more likely to see someone on top of a mountain holding a smart phone up to the Google God trying to get a signal so they connect to the almighty search machine.
A recent Chinese example from my Chinese friend Jimmy Wang; “Google say “Woman flying aeroplane upside down, heading for honourable crackup”
