Helium/Hyrogen compression reaction,causing 24/7 'nuclear reactions' are what makes the Sun seem like it's ''on fire''....but it isn't. Fire can't burn in a vacuum-what you see/feel/experience,is a ball of compressed nuclear fusion activity. The 'light' you see is a physical reaction as the result of those fusions. Hydrogen atoms fuse together into helium,which then fuse together to become heavier elements. This in turn releases massive amounts of energy in the form of heat,light and,of course radiation. [ergo,'sunburn'] Ohhhh,nuts...I've fallen for it again,haven't I!
