6KG plastic in whale

This whale had 6kg of plastics inside it .
Time we did more and ban some plastics if not all ,most is from take aways ..

And that poor whale won't be the only one by a long chalk.

No not the only one and one has to wonder how long all this plastic as been going in the sea to be digested .

marine life will all be gone if the companies dont do something and quickly -how very sad to learn about the poor creature ' swims in its own world' and man destroys it ??

I agree with you about a ban on plastics, Eliza. Have you also seen the many reports of seals and other marine life which have infected wounds when they get items such as broken frisbees trapped around them and as they grow the plastic cuts deep into their skin.

It has probably been mentioned in other threads previously too about balloons and how they can have a bad effect on all wildlife. I cannot understand why people decide to have tributes to deceased loved ones by releasing balloons. It is so thoughtless, in my opinion, when there are other ways to remember their loved ones without damaging the environment and being a threat to wildlife.
