Re: Have I got a bigger problem ?

It can also be a problem with the seat belt sensor which is connected somehow to the airbag light. Luckily I have not had this problem with my CRV but I have seen the problem arise on forums.

You’ll find that on the v5, windscreen or door or engine compartment..

Checked it on the site and mines not covered. So will have to count my pennies as I said and see if I can get it booked in.

Same here, dongle.

I will never forget how they deliberately twisted me over the air con failure during the summer.

Nothing wrong with it whatsoever, and they wanted over £350 to put a fault right that didn't exist.

Julie, I agree to get it checked, just incase it is not safe.

Re: Have I got a bigger problem ?

My husband say they are not on the same circuit.
The Air bag light on, most probable cause if you look under the front seat of the car, you will see a yellow plug socket, they sometimes come loose when you adjust the seat back and forward, all the air bag curcuits are on yellow plugs.

The Hooter could be a fuse, look in the manual to see where the fuse box is.

My Husband is a Motor Mechanic.

Re: Have I got a bigger problem ?

Yes and no. he found it and followed it back and did find a loose connection but it was not under the seat, it had come loose further through the run. I think it could have been knocked when I had some work done earlier in the year. So thank you, saved me some money there, I have a feeling the bill wouldn't have been cheap.
