Just a hic-cup.........

What's more telling is the Remainers' glee at any scrap of news that might be detrimental to the UK's interests

It's not surprising they are held in such contempt.

Re: Trade with other nations

On the ABC radio AM program this morning was an interview with the UK's Asia-Pacific trade commissioner.

You can hear the interview here:

The problem is that you are still in the EU so can't negotiate with anybody yet. Quite an interesting interview it is only 4 minutes.

No glee, just the stupidity of a remainer who is out of his depth and think we still rule the waves

That you think it no more than a hic-cup is is far mor telling

I don't get that. We only have one air craft carrier and that is at least 2 years of completion of sea trials, plus we have still got to get the aircraft for it.

Just another lie from Private Pike.

Just another lie from Private Pike.
Last year when Boris was visiting he promised his aircraft carrier would be out here just as soon as it had some planes to go on it.

Boris Johnson’s ebullient pronouncements last week on a future Royal Navy freedom of navigation 'operation' in the Indo-Pacific region have attracted attention, but also criticism.

At the press conference following the “2+2” meeting of Australian/UK defence and foreign ministers (AUKMIN), on 27 July, Mr Johnson initially said this: 'One of the first things we will do with the two new colossal aircraft carriers that we have just built is send them on a freedom of navigation operation to this area.'

That evening, the British Foreign Secretary made a slightly less bombastic pledge in his 2017 Lowy Lecture, that 'one of the first missions of our two vast new aircraft carriers will be to sail through the Straits of Malacca'.

Although the first of the 65,000-ton Queen Elizabeth-class carriers is now undergoing sea trials, it will not be commissioned in service until 2020; the second not until 2023. Three years is a long time to wait, even for patient observers, but by 2020 it will be a full decade since the UK has independently operated fixed-wing aircraft from carriers. The Fleet Air Arm’s Harrier fleet was retired in 2010 and the last of Britain’s 'ski-jump' carriers was decommissioned in 2014.

I'm not sure why your calling yourself "stupid" all of a sudden when you've been telling everyone on here how clever you are ... ?

Oh dear. They do seem to be rather bitter and twisted about our decision to leave, don't they?

Presumably, we shall not be able to offer our own financial incentives?
