Nosing in someone's phone

Have you ever felt the need, or the 'right' to snoop through somebody else's phone? Maybe your partner/spouse or perhaps your children's phone even?

I saw in yet another survey, that apparently 1 in 4 women snoop and 1 in 5 men do as well.

I can only think it would be for one of two reasons:

They must either doubt the person or -
They are just downright nosey.

I like to think if I had serious doubts about a partner, I would rather ask him outright, but that's just me.

Any thoughts?

Nothing on my phone worth looking at (apart from the mermaid on my home screen), and besides, it can only be accessed with my fingerprint.

If I had a wife/partner, I wouldn't snoop on their phone, you might come across something you don't like.

I wouldn't dream of looking at a person's phone unless invited to look at a photograph.
It would be like reading someone's diary or personal mail and an invasion of their privacy.

I agree with you also Meg.
I was really surprised to read how many people do snoop though. Men as well as women.

I went into an M & S changing room today and someone had left their phone in there. It never occurred to me to have a look at it, I took it straight out and gave it to an assistant on the tills.

Not a good idea and a total invasion of privacy. You should only do this in an emergency if someone is hurt and you need to find contacts, who they are etc.

This mobile telephony has stopped much deceit, so, it has to be good, but in the wrong hands has caused much deceit, so not much has changed.
