Re: A Cheer For Boris!

So after most on here said they preferred a "no deal" exit. Now they are celebrating the "deal"? Was that just bluff?

No. Not at all.

I have said throughout that I'd have much preferred a no-deal Brexit.
Boris's deal is probably the next best thing, apart from the selling out of our fisheries.
I still hope that within the next year we decide to reject the deal which, in my opinion, still ties our hands behind our backs to an extent.

The good thing, of course, is that we are now legally out of the EU, although it has cost us an unnecessary £39billion - for nothing.

It may be a little inconvenient for the Australians, but we voted in favour of Brexit because we believed that was better for the UK residents.!
You're missing the point, using their UK passport they could work anywhere in Europe, now their UK passport has no advantage over their Australian passport.

Ah! A speech from the unelected mob in the upper house to the proletariate, don't forget to tug your forelock.

I wasn't missing the point Bruce, I was saying that if people who chose to live in Australian want to work in Europe, then they need to follow the new rules to do so! If that is the only reason they have dual nationality then "hard luck" because the people who live in the UK will not stay in the EU to satisfy their needs.
Why do they choose to have dual nationality? If they don't need it I doubt that any Brexiteer will object to them becoming full Australian citizens.... especially when so many have been so rude about the country they chose to have a passport from.

I agree Judd! She said everything that most Brexiteers would have said.....but possibly in a more polite manner than some of us would!
