The EU has set it's course on restoring covid effects over other minor events like brexit.
The usa has to find out first what covid is, and putin is thinking about what to do with the UK. China on the other hand has offered the EU to trade.

Eee.... don't sound so contemptuous of everyone else .... the EU have vastly underestimated their Covid rescue fund, more than vastly.
I'd say catastrophically. Aren't Italy reportedly earmarking about a fifth of the whole fund just for their own rescue package? what about the other 26 hopefuls?

And there's certainly a certain amount of discord and lack of harmony when we hear ...
At one point French President Emmanuel Macron reportedly banged his fists on the table, as he told the "frugal four" they were putting the European project in danger.

Nope ... I doubt very much whether there will even be such a thing as the EU in 10 years time.
It'll have fragmented ... gone bankrupt, or have had too many countries break away to make it sustainable.

Don't forget his homefront was watching. They all are seasoned, experienced, negotiators.

You can have them if they meet the criteria ....
They're more at home with Europe as they've more historical ties with France than with England. They're ancient allies.
We were only ever at war.

The english have always been at war, you fought with the Dutch against the Spanish, with the Germans against the French, French and Italians against the Germans, and the French against the Germans and Italians. Divide and rule, why have you changed now, when it’s worked so well? Set the Germans against the French, French against Italians, Italians against Dutch*?

Divide and rule?

Why? Were all those European countries allied with Germany during WW2?
No wonder Americans think they won the war for us.

And left all those american troops to keep an american eye on matters? 34,000 in germany and 12,000 in italy I can understand, but why 9,500 in the UK? Doesn't america trust you? Or do they know how much influence the russians have in the UK?
