Lockdown Breakdown.

Hi

What is it like near you?

Raves, protests and idiots breaking all the rules.

Sheer stupidity.

Groups of young ones taking no notice at all.

We are a bit blunt here, so there has been a reaction.

Gobby teens do not fare well against scaffolders with parents nearby.

Nothing like that in this area, it's usually quiet anyway with many folk, in this village anyway, either approaching retirement age or already like myself, having reached and passed that age.

Perhaps those "Gobby teens" are learning lessons that should have been taught to them by their parents? Maybe that's too much to expect as they too could be of a similar mindset.

Illegal raves: Daisy Nook park clean-up begins

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-eng...lean-up-begins (video)

A mass clean-up operation has begun after 4,000 people descended on a country park for an illegal rave.

Volunteers said Daisy Nook Park, in Oldham, Greater Manchester, was a "sea of gas canisters" and other rubbish after the event.

Another sign of the deterioration of standards and behavior of
the uk populace imo!
We have always had our louts and bullies but in recent years it
seems to have become much more prevalant, in other words the
average standard has dropped?
It was unheard of once to witness such sights as are now common
place at such events such as Daisy nook and Glastonbury etc?
Undoubtably drugs plays a major part in this? The tolerance of
which is another sign of the deterioration of society generally?
IGTF??

It's quiet here in semi rural inland Devon, the coast is a different matter though.

Re: Lockdown Breakdown.

Not been out today and very quiet in the cul-de-sac, apart from mowers and hedge trimmers. It was more relaxed than usual in Tesco on Saturday though, with people not following the one way system and wandering about anywhere. We did enjoy the families company yesterday though, when they all descended on us for tea.....Nice to get back to normal....

Re: Lockdown Breakdown.

Hi

The thing here is that we seem to be divided into two groups.

The sensible ones who are still following the rules and the idiots who are not.

It is not entirely age dependant.

We have some lovely youngsters here who check up on people, will do your shopping, collect prescriptions, mow the lawns and put the bins out bring them back in.

We also have the complete pillocks.

They are not all bad.

Re: Lockdown Breakdown.

It's ok here . The beaches are not packed though there are large groups sitting together prob all family members and friends but most are social distancing . Most respectful at the shops and queues. Our town normally like an ants nest this time of year is relatively quiet .
