I've only just seen this thread so am a bit lateI used to be lonely when first moved into my house 17 years ago but as the years have gone by I'm pleased to say I like being by myself now . I had a friend come stay for a few days last week it was such fun but i was pleased to be on my own again when she left . My sister came a while back it was nice company but again I'm pleased when they leave .
I learned a long time ago that loneliness is all in the mind it's an illusion ( to me) because I've felt lonely in a room full of people.

I’m at his house at the moment because I’m bored.
But we have the two of us and that dog. That means that we have to socialise. Without the dog, we would probably meet very few people. Especially with the Covids business.
Maybe a dog could be a solution for you?
