Re: Opposites attract .....?

My second husband and I were opposites and whilst we were both busy with work (and me with my children), I don't think we really noticed it. I loved his mind, the way he thought - it was just his boring behaviour that got to me once the kids left home and it was just the two of us.

First hubby I had lots in common but that didn't work either. Beginning to suspect I might be the problem

Agree absolutely and have been thinking about it quite a bit recently

OH and I were similar in many ways but as a team I'm not sure we worked that well

Re: Opposites attract .....?

When I met and married my husband we seemed to be "opposites" but underneath the apparent differences we shared the same values. We have been very happily married for 46yrs.

Re: Opposites attract .....?

I think opposites can attract, but maybe not to last. I have seen gentle, shy girls being over-awed by strong male personalities. My theory on that is the strong personality gives the weak one the security they can't feel, and it also would make the stronger one feel even more powerful. It happens vice versa as well, with a shy bloke and a strong woman in control.
Me? Unless they've got a wet nose and furry coat, it don't seem to work out very well for me either way!
