Anyone with an ounce of common sense should avoid a serious thread if they are feeling frivolous.

Also, anyone with an ounce of common sense should avoid a serious thread if they don't like being presented with a few relevant facts.

Spot on.

I, like others, can inject humour into a thread; the idea is to know when not to.

Re: Forum manners

Facts copy and pasted rarely IMO trump people's personal experiences, mainly because big organisations manage somehow to spin their thoughts into something they cannily like to call facts.

No matter how many people with a fact tell me something if I experience the opposite I know which I believe.
