Me too - thought it was a good un
They used to put it down to overdose of Port
Oh I say ! Wouldn't know about pheasant - over ripe or otherwise
At the back of Lewes (the County town of East Sussex) there was a big estate owned by Lord Rupert Neville (Phil the Greek's Equarry) who used to raise pheasants on the estate. The main road from Lewes to Uckfield passed very close to this estate and quite often pheasants would come through the hedge onto the main road - had quite a few 'road kill' pheasants that way!!!
