Re: Should boxing be banned?

No! The noble art of boxing should never be banned.

My dad was a big boxing fan and it's rubbed off on me.

Definitely don't ban boxing, it is a skill and a good spectator sport.
There are more killed or maimed in other sports than in boxing.

Re: Should boxing be banned?

I had this very conversation this week with a professional boxer, I believe that it helps with self discipline, it teaches you to know when to stop, when to walk away. I work in a prison where many men get into fights and the red mist comes down and they don't know when to stop, how to control themselves, maybe some boxing lessons would help them to understand how to control their tempers.

Ban it - it's up to the specialists in the sport. The last bare-knuckle fight in England, took place at the back of the Ship Inn, Ship Lane, Farnborough, Hampshire. That was dangerous.

My local pub for about twenty years or so.

Oh let us ban everything Eliza. More people are killed stepping out their front doors and they don't get paid millions for it.
People have a choice in life or they did before the pc brigade felt fit to put their two cents in and decided to run the lives of others.

Like any other contact sport then, then we could move on to motor sport, not forgetting hang gliding, mountain climbing, etc. the list is endless. Should we all go to Cross-Stitch classes, perhaps not I expect they end up stabbing each other

Of course it's not just men slugging it out these days, it is becoming quite a big thing amongst the fairer sex too....
