Aaaaarh but ....Pummy has the solution - however weird it sounds.
Plonk a few drops of white vinegar in a cup.
Put one or two eggs into cup. Break yolks.
Another couple of drops of vinegar on top of eggs.
Nuke for one or two minutes - depending on your nuke-machine.

As for the bloody eggs, I have been doing this two or three times a week for a couple of years.
