2) He is trying to get us through this pandemic yet make sure our economy doesn't collapse.
3) He is trying to prevent illegal immigrants crossing our borders, when it seems that the UK is where they all want to live.
4) On top of that he was rushed onto hospital with the Covid virus himself, at a time when he has a new baby.

We can all criticize any mistakes he makes, but I doubt any other person could have dealt with all these situations easily & I think that criticism from anybody. who hasn't had to deal with them, is unjustified!
I am ecstatic that you and your mates are satisfied with your government's performance during the pandemic. However I will continue to criticise the Australian, British and any other government in this forum if I think they are at fault whether you think it justified or not.

(Still waiting for you to point out where I am "trying to make Britain look bad" in this thread - you have made these claims before but seem totally unable to back them up)

I don't think I said "in this thread" but I am not going to search for all the times you do try to put Britain down... they are too frequent.
Feel free to criticize how governments do things, I was just pointing out that your opinions can only be based on what you read or hear on the news and even the media don't have all the details that governments don't tell us

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

International travel is unlikely to begin again to and from Australia this year, even if a large number of the population is vaccinated, Health Department boss Brendan Murphy has said.

Professor Murphy, who was the chief medical officer at the beginning of the pandemic, said he thought the borders and mandatory hotel quarantine would remain for some time yet.

When asked what the likelihood was the international border would reopen this year, he acknowledged it was a "big question".

"I think that the answer is probably no," Professor Murphy said.

Yep, so frequent that you can't find them. If I didn't try to put Britain down in this thread then why mention it here? It makes your comment just a personal attack.

I am not going to have a silly argument so just accept that we have differing opinions!

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

Isn't it amazing that even now some people are trying to politicise a virus rather than welcoming the increasing possibility of - if not beating it exactly - preventing an ever-rising death toll from continuing unabated?

I think that beating the virus could take a long time, but so did many others illnesses we all needed vaccines for.... and we managed to beat them!
I feel that any criticism of the covid vaccines creates negative ideas, which will prevent people from having it, so criticizing governments on the way they handle it is not going to help anybody.

Like you, I just applaud the pharma companies that managed to create the vaccine so quickly and the fact that governments are doing their best to make sure as many people as possible can remain safe.
Lets hope we can all raise a glass to them later this year!
