Ours resigned as I knew he would, a yes-man. His reward a knighthood in 2016, from Theresa May.

“Britain is stronger, safer and better off in Europe.”

Have never believed this.

The EU needs the UK harder than the UK needs the EU.

Re: Leave/Remain Irritations.

Whether you are a Leave or Remain supporter, what were the oft-spoken word, slogan or party soundbite from the opposing side, that really used to annoy you?
....all of it , we should have left the EU a couple of years ago and not still being subjected to hearing about it on a daily basis .

The UK is one of the three countries that puts the most money into the EU budget. Do not think that will change after GE.

The EU has kept the peace since the second world war (even though it didn't exist until 1993)

That peaceful mission has not extended to and beyond the EU’s borders.

EU member states have gone to war outside Europe, the EU has had very little to say.

Re: Leave/Remain Irritations.

I found all the oft-repeated soundbites about UK leaving the EU extremely irritating.
The most offensive one is the word “Brexit” itself.

Presumably, it’s a portmanteau word of “Britain’s Exit” - Note there is no mention of the rest of the UK - where does Northern Ireland feature in that name?
It seems to me that how it all affects Northern Ireland has not been a consideration high on the priority list right from the very beginning and Boris confirmed that by rolling back May’s red lines re customs checks between Britain and Northern Ireland.

The current buzz-phrase that irritates me is “Let’s Get Brexit Done”, as if it’s going to happen overnight if you vote for the Tories.
