I love the way the seed heads have little highlights.

The Drooping Star of Bethlehem. Taken within the National Trust site of 'Sheringham Park,Norfolk' earlier this year.

I was told by an elderly lady on site that this little beauty belongs to the Snowdrop Family.

Re: Wild flowers

Orange day lilies grow everywhere in gardens or along roadsides or in fields that are not cultivated.

I still enjoy this thread so much it is my first site every morning. Lately my internet has been a off and on, from high winds or what I don't know.

Re: Wild flowers

I hope you don't mind me posting these as they are hardly wildflowers in the true sense,I took them however in a 'Wild' setting ie., growing uncultivated in open countryside.
The Lovely Rhododendron...

And The Flowering Cherry.

Re: Wild flowers

It looks like our 'Comfrey' Shirley. Look under the 'Borage' family of plants......

And by the way, you take a lovely photo!!! Do you use a photo editor on your pictures?????

Re: Wild flowers

Thanks for that Butterfly.......

Again these are not technically wildflowers but are flowering bushes/shrubs and found in the hedgerows of Great Britain.
The first one is The Blackthorn, this picture show's it well before it's maturity when the berries will be black.
Sometimes known as the Sloe berry, as Sloe Gin is made from the mature fruit, and is quite potent. I've tried it!!!

I am posting this because I liked it. It's the fruit/helicopters/seed of the Sycamore.
