Things are becoming clearer
HiLoads of reports about the initial, informal, negotiations on Brexit.
The Northern, plus the Eastern European Countries are prepared to give us a deal.
Germany is wavering, but the Southern European Countries and the French are determined to punish us.
It would appear that the French are the ringleaders in this.
When we leave, even under a Hard Brexit, which is what the French want to impose on us, we will have to apply WTO Rules, so no extra tariffs on their exports to us.
WTO Rules do not apply to services, including Taxation.
We simply impose a Surcharge of £1,000 on all holidays to France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece and abolish reciprocal tax agreements.
That will make them sit up and think.

Pettiness will help no one, it is the best interests of all concerned including the French to handle things amicably. After all we will always be neighbours.

Sorry but I don't know where you get the information about giving the UK a deal.We don't even know what dealt the UK wants. Not even the UK knows!!
But you most certainly won't get t all your own way. So already stoking blame France's way is simply more premeditated populist ancient historical confrontation.
I read a cross section of European news (in summary) and I have seen nothing of this OP. Do you have a link to some of the "loads of reports" please?
