Italy votes tomorrow

Result will be announced Monday.

There Main Bank is in crises to a ten times bigger debt than Northan Rock was.

The main German Bank the same.

£ climbing against the Euro and gaining a very small amount against the $

Be interesting next week.

Think it will be the start of the end of the EU.

If Galty wants to rub salt in the EU wounds that's okay by me.

Re: Italy votes tomorrow

Sorry Realist.

Was just pointing out that the Italins go to the polls and their the action over the result.

Main point was they were voting to support or get rid off a very Pro EU leader...If he wins the banks are safe for a time ...main point is if he loses then I think the EU is finished.

Sorry again but I don't tend to read any thing you post as you don't understand any thing that other people post.

Re: Italy votes tomorrow

Oh dear. I think the UK press has been at it again.

The referendum is about the further centralisation of power in the Italian govt. As it stands the regional govts an the Senate have considerable powers over the central govt.
Renzi wants to shrink the influence of the senate and regions.

Please not all the "ifs".

IF Renzi loses he may step down.
IF he does there will be an election.
IF there is then the 5 star movement and the Northern League will run in it.
IF it wins THEN there will be a serious problem.

Lots of time to go yet.

You said it a lot better than me.

Think this Ref is very interesting in the fact that some might also want to leave the EU.

Re: Italy votes tomorrow

Indeed.

But the Italians also know the economic consequences in a country with an already unsteady economy and an unsteady record of govt.

As anything Italian, its politics is...unpredictable.
