You could ask them to dig a soakaway if your worried about drainage basically you dig a hole and fill it with porous materials eg rubble,gravel
then backfill with soil or just leave gravel on top, its not a proper drain as such but it can help get rid of standing water

Yes Primus, that's another idea, thank you. I'm waiting for the guy to get back to me with a price at the mo, then I'll talk to him about that.
