Cooker failed

Cooker failed today, looks like the flame failure device has had it, as were planning on having a new kitchen in the next few months so its pointless buying a new one until we need one, ( its at least 18 years old) so we'll have to buy a mini oven and muddle through😠

Try online Primus, Google the model and make there are specialist sites that stock old parts.

Don't blame you. My oven hasn't worked for years but I never use it anyway, I have BBQ by the back door for frying, a steamer and a microwave for heating/cooking.

I did think of throwing the oven out but the top is handy for standing things on.

A couple of my friends have those mini ovens and that is all they use, their cooker is obsolete.

Personally I eat out a lot too (not, I should hasten to add, fast food)

Re: Cooker failed

If I ever had to save anything, it'd be my mini oven. Like Bruce's mate, it's all I ever use, and need, for day to day cooking. The micro comes in handy too, as does the rare use of halogen oven. And I have the electric two rings on top of my cooker.

Will replace it as and when my kitchen eventually gets done but in no hurry as I get by (remember I spilt chicken juice on my large cooker and busted it?)

Primus1, do get yourself that mini oven. I got mine in Argos. The electric two rings was from Robert Dyas and the Halogen oven from Maplin.

What sort of cooker are you planning to get, if/when you do get one?

Aw thats a shame Primus when my 16 year old AEG cooker was reduced to one ring I managed to find the parts on specialist sites the problem was the cost involved in not just buying the parts but paying to have them fitted.

The new cookers are nothing like the build quality of the old ones, I did masses of research before buying a new one because I do a lot of baking and drove all over the place looking at them.

I wish I had gone for new parts now.

What a pain for you Primus. Perhaps it'll give you the impetus to get on with planning your new kitchen - how exciting

This item isn't cheap - Remoska - but it's really good; so versatile, and would fill the gap for a while.

I've got a normal oven but the Remoska can do so many things - roast, casserole, pasta bake, cook cakes - I don't use the normal oven a lot. Only when I'm cooking for more than us two really
