I most certainly am against ALL ritual slaughter without prestunning.
There is far more Halal slaughter than any other .
Actually I against halal meat altogether in this country .
I don't need someone else's sky fairy intoning prayers over my food .
I am not anti Islam unless it's anti Islam to protest against cruelty to animals -just their horrible cruelties one of which is Halal slaughter which is sickening in the extreme and no one can tell me otherwise because I have seen it .

No the sheep do not have to be alive .
They can be slaughtered in Australia with prestunning and shipped frozen .
Although heaven knows Australia is bad enough with cruelty to farm animals .

So much so that Princess Alisa of Jordan -a great activist for compassion to animals wrote to Australias then PM re Halal slaughter .
The Princess has long campaigned for prestunning .

I would have thought with your vast knowledge of Australia you would have known that there is a bill before federal parliament from Liberal ex minister and farmer Susan Ley to ban live exports.
