Re: I don't trust my doctor

Fair enough. I guess some serious thinking is the best way to go for now then.
Maybe even consider short term fostering perhaps? See how you get on with the extra work involved being responsible for another life and all that goes with it?
At least if you had to go in hospital again the organisation would take him back for you. Just a thought.

Or how about volunteering at a local rescue?
That would get you out and about, meeting people, exercising and socialising, and doing the animals a good turn at the same time - without the responsibility of permanent ownership.

Bakerman can you not move back to the USA?
Don't post personal stuff, but I am confused.
I'm sure you would have better support there.

The cost of a San Diego apartment is astronomical. $1,500/month MINIMUM. Now, I only pay $200/month in Mexico.

There are some cheaper in San Diego BUT they are EXTREMELY dangerous. I'd be taking my life in my hands just to walk to the corner grocery --- in daylight. (heavy drug areas).

Ok, I am going to put you in touch with my BIL.
I will send you an email. I think that is the way forward, as he is involved with some doctors. xxxx
He is returning to Mexico soon, he is in California at the moment. He will help you. He speaks Spanish but is British.

Funny that at times we happen to be in the right place at the right time, even if it is a forum. xxxx

Re: I don't trust my doctor

What little intestinal flora I had, was totally destroyed when the doctor gave me anti-biotics for the lung congestion. I can now breathe better, though not back to normal, the incontinence is drastically worse.

I have some probiotics which I am taking and I am eating fermented veggies. Today I'm going to buy some Greek yoghurt (though I have read that most brands do no good).

I also have loperamide which I am taking huge amounts of.

In the past, apple sauce SOMETIMES helped so I'll make some of that today.

Jeez, if it's not one thing , it's another.

Sweetie, excellent article. Thank you. No doctor has ever mentioned probiotics or acidophilus. Which, I suppose, is not surprising given the fact that they are trained to prescribe drugs and they, have little to no training in foods.

Someone once told me that if the G.I. doctors told us about natural cures, they, the doctors, would lose patients and go broke.

I'm beginning to think that if a doctor can SEE the problem, (like a broken arm) they can fix it. If they can not actually SEE the problem, they order expensive tests, then take a wild guess about which drug to order.

Well, there you go. I am hoping that we can get you feeling better real soon.
