War & peace.

It begins tonight on BBC1.
Not sure if it's my kind of thing but going to give it a go.

Is anybody else going to be watching it?

I might just see if I can get into it, Carol. I never did finish the book.

Yes I'm for it. It is going to be recorded as there are other things on at the same time.
Nothing to do with me. It's 'her' who has the controls.

I've read the book a few times - twice I think. I was surprised how good a read it was There are some very well rounded characters in it. It certainly wasn't the 'chore' I thought it was going to be. I should think the adaptation will be engrossing to say the least.

I, too, will be watching it. I wonder why it is being limited to six episodes. It surely merits more time than that.

I think there will be too many characters for OH to deal with.

I've read the book once, but failed to get through it the second time (got bogged down in the battles!). Looking forward to seeing it tonight. Andrew Davis has some really good adaptations under his belt. Let's hope this is another one.

Re: War & peace.

I have not read the book. Maybe I should put it on my bucket list.
I expect I could find an ebook version for Kindle.
