Being a man of means, Pierre had a few spares.
What I want to know, is why were they all whispering? I had the volume turned well up. (And the hearing aid).
I find the sound on a lot of TV drama's needs sorting out, music far too loud & when anyone talks, the sound is so low you can't hear them. Not just on War & Peace either, a lot of the programs.
The production was first class, and I'm sure it was true to the book. But I found it dreary, tedious, over-long, and somehow uninvolving. (Is that a word? I think you'll know what I mean)

I agree about uninvolving (and in that I think true to the book), I know we are supposed to sympathise with Pierre and Natasha but I couldn't really care about them.
