Re: Poets?

I'm better at limericks and haiku than serious poetry, Tinman.

Haiku:
a major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons, often on the subject of nature or one of the seasons, or

a poem written in this form.

A haiku takes more thinking than a limerick!

A Washington woman once said
Although I'm considered well read
I cannot read Joyce
He's just not my choice
I wish he had quit while ahead.

Re: Poets?

I've never been one for the poems Tinman but I do love short horror stories, 'The Monkeys Paw' being my favourite. I love the funny limericks too.
And no, I don't know the monkeys Maw.
