The home country in this case the USA may waive diplomatic immunity if a serious crime has been committed .

Re: Diplomatic Immunity

Out interest and based on the suggestion that she was the cause of the accident, what do you think would be the outcome of a court hearing?

Does anyone know whether an inquest has already been carried out and what the subsequent ruling was?

Re: Diplomatic Immunity

Hi

The vehicles were still in place at the collision site, a full RTC Investigation was done, as normal.

So we do know she was on the wrong side of the road.

This is not in dispute by either side.

She spoke to the Police and said she be available for formal interview, this again is not in dispute.

She did not claim diplomatic immunity at the time of the incident.

The RAF Base is actually a USAF Base.

It is part of ECHELON, otherwise known as Five Eyes.

Her husband is NSA and the problem arose because the NSA flew them out and it was not done through the normal channels.

She then left the UK with her husband.

I believe the charge would be involuntary manslaughter here in the UK.

No, it would not. It would be death by either dangerous or careless driving.

Apparently, she was driving for 400 yds,on the wrong side of the road, before hitting the young man...so she will be charged with involuntary manslaughter...will she....?....I don't share that belief.

No, she won't. As I said above, the charge - if any - would be death by dangerous or careless driving
