I am not even sure that we are allowed to call 'Actresses' that now? Don't we have to call both male and female just 'Actors' now?

As you say, why bother trying to train someone instead of just hiring an Irish actress in the first place.
I've seen this happen with other accents too.

How can a black actress portray a white person - and vice versa in all fairness.
What would you say if that handsome Idris Elba played the Duke of Edingburgh ey?
Or perhaps Whoopi Goldberg played the Queen?
Would that be alright for you as long as " they were up to the role?"
