Re: Good morning Thursday (24th)

Good morning everyone it has just started raining.

I am off to the opticians this morning to have my eyes tested and to see if they can repair my battered specs which I sat on and trod on multiple times during lockdown .

Then back to sort out the house insurance which is due , enjoy your day

Re: Good morning Thursday (24th)

Oh I was so confused! I opened the thread called 'Good Morning Thursday' and got a page telling me that no thread was specified . Then I opened the Good Morning Wednesday thread and it turns out it's Thursday's thread . All sorted and changed now in the thread list

Anyhoo, good morning everyone! Bit dull here today and raining at the mo, but it should be clearing by around 10 or 11, so we'll see! Got cakes to bake today, and other foodie stuff to prepare for granddaughter's birthday party on Saturday. It's only a small affair, just 6 children coming to her house - so difficult in these Covid times to find a venue for a birthday party that can accommodate a group of children and adults larger than 6! The only ones that could were fully booked weeks ahead, and we missed that boat

So as I shall be indoors anyway, tied to the kitchen, it can rain its little heart out today for all I care!

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all not much in the way of sun yet but it’s supposed to brighten later.

Catching up on some housework this morning then hope to get in the garden this afternoon.

Expecting a grocery delivery later today.

Enjoy your day everyone

Re: Good morning Thursday (24th)

Good afternoon - I've had a productive morning at the allotment. Lined a manure pen with plastic sheeting ready for when the horse manure arrives (stop it falling through the gaps). My friend and I worked on a metal shed door that was jamming up. Filled a hole with stones where rats were getting into the shed. Also did a bit of digging.

Not sure what I'll do with the rest of the day. I was planning on going on the same 3.5 mile walk I did yesterday but I hurt my toe on a door sill when walking around with only socks on my feet and it still hurts. A walk tomorrow maybe.

All my fault - sorry - because I have not been to bed yet I forgot the day had changed!

Thank you to our lovely Mods for sorting it out.

Re: Good morning Thursday (24th)

It was pouring down when we got up - just what we needed - not - as we were going into town this morning to pick up V's meds, look for some discounted books at The Works, find a dentist to make an appointment each, and go to the library to change our bus passes over (local buses is another tale). The only thing we really achieved was to pick up V's meds, everything else needs to be done, as we discovered, by phone call.
