Fascinating pics Tiff. It reminds me of when we were asked to take caterpillars into class at primary school. They were put into an old fish tank and we watched the changes happen. I remember seeing them drying their wings before they were able to fly. Like you, we had no idea what type we were going to see emerge. They were all released obviously.

Yes, I agree.

It must be bitter cold tonight hanging onto that glass in these sub-zero temperatures though, poor thing.
At least if he'd gone into a hedgerow or something, he'd had some windbreak and shelter around him.
