American Cops - again

What is it with these American cops and their guns?
Are they all mental, or just gun mad?

This is going to cause a whole lot more trouble adn riots all over again.

And this is another one here.
This man was shot 11 times!!

But once again the guy who was shot didn't comply with the instructions of the police after immediately prior to being shot been VERY aggressive. For all the police knew he was quite possibly on his way to get a gun from his car.

Todger, if that were the case, why not either taser him, or at worst, just shoot him once?

Do you honestly not think that 7 times in one case, and 11 times in the other case a bit OTT?

Think it might be useful to find out the colour of the the police officers involved before passing judgement.

Re: American Cops - again

The is something very definitely wrong with American cops. Their attitude seems to be, "There are only two kinds of people in the world: cops and criminals."

In my opinion, there are entirely too many cops who have a driving need to have power over others. They "get off" on throwing their weight around. They are just like the school yard bullies, except now they are adults with guns.

Add a bit of racism and you end up with dead citizens.

On average, the cops in the U.S. shoot and kill 1,000 people every year.

This is a apalling .
What is the matter with them all?

Watched the video of them shooting Jacob Blake in the back .

He has been left paralysed from the waist down .

What on earth did they need to shoot him at all much less with three small children in the car?

If the person (?) shot was high on drugs, especially meth, then like a wild boar that impales itself on a pig sticking spear continues to charge the person shot just carries on until they fall.

It seems that pain goes out of the window, in fact there's seldom any immediate pain after being shot, and with someone on a meth high the only way to stop them is by continued putting bullets into them.

Taser? Very short range things and again for a meth freak mostly ineffective.

Faced with something little better than an animal not just capable of anything but in all probability in the process of on the way to do anything putting it down is the safest action to prevent it from harming others.

Precisely because there WERE three kids in the car. It's called damage limitation.

Considering what the police in America have to try to control what they do is entirely understandable.

Taking too much for granted, everyone should expect a basic level of respect , it works both ways. The police cannot enforce the law while breaking it themselves. They are not trusted.
