If the EU does sideline those two it will cause a much more costly rift for the EU than Brexit, and will very probably lead to a split within the EU or major reforms.
It would serve them right too, not that the upper echelons of the EU seem to care.
I don't usually comment on EU or Brexit issues. The Asia Pacific is my patch. But this doesn't surprise me at all. I think the expression on face of the bloke on the left sums it up really.
