(1) Longdogs is sorta right. Such stuff is rarely used. But Low-humidity winter winds can cause dryness and such.(2) My stray "off-topic" (flog me) was in direct response to queries from Clumsy and Morty.
But I am grateful to Twinks for her direction re where I may or may not post.

My cats never foul anybody's garden because my house is surrounded by fields. If people chose to live in close proximity to their neighbours I feel that they all need to be tolerant of each others pets...... as I was expected to be when a neighbour's dog came on to my garden and killed my cat. That was the sole reason that I moved to my present house!
