That's just Project Fear/Hysteria clouding your judgement.

There is no question at all that the UK will adapt and exploit all the new opportunities it get from being free of the corrupt EU empire. Some initial turmoil of course, but then blissful growth and independence.

No. They are not divided on the issue of Leaving which is all that matters. They might prefer to leave with a decent Withdrawal Agreement rather than No Deal but since a decent agreement is not forthcoming then No Deal it will have to be. So long as we actually Leave, that's all that BrExiteers really care about.

This is utter nonsense. The referendum saw the largest turnout in history. A 72 per cent turnout, in which 17,410,742 people voted Leave.

It was the single biggest vote in British history for anything.

The result was significant. In UK political votes a winning margin of 1 million votes is extremely significant.

You are simply clutching at straws lost in your inability to accept a democratic decision. In truth if the result had been 75 Leave 25 Remain you and the other Remainers would still be complaining and trying to obstruct the majority result.

This is also a load of hogwash on 2 counts.

Count 1, a great many Leavers DID KNOW exactly what BrExit meant and why they were voting to Leave It was NOT about immigration, it was about the realisation of where the EU was heading, what it had become and the desire to have no further part of it.

Count 2, more importantly is that EVERY SINGLE ELECTION we ever have, involves the masses being duped by politicians and vast media campaigns designed to deliberately motivate and sway people to vote a certain way.
In the last election Corbyn shamelessly duped all the young voters by making them false promises of wiping their student debts and giving them free tuition fees.

Had Corbyn won that election are you suggesting that we could have overturned the election result based on the fact that people didn't have accurate or truthful information? Patently not.

The referendum was no different. Both the Leave and Remain campaigns used exaggerations and misleads to their own ends. It will always be so. It behoves every voter to properly educate themselves so they are not duped by politicians. That is the process in this country, like it or not.

So again, there are no excuses to be had here. The referendum was fair, it saw the largest turnout in the history of the country and the majority voted Leave. You should take a look at your motives and position in regards to the democratic process because if you are unable to support it you are in the wrong country.

Yep they do and the vote is the method by which they make that objection. The vote is fair, available to all and we have to respect the majority decision whether we like it or not.
Democracy itself is more important than any single vote.

Hi

We have to leave, the Referendum must be respected.

What concerns me is the lack of preparation by our Government.

A No Deal is going to hurt far more than a simple Trade Deal, which we have been offered and have refused.

I cannot understand why we would have done this.

The legal status of the referendum is only that it needs to be considered

The government and parliament have considered the result and triggered Article 50 and the government have negotiated the best deal the EU are prepared to consider

Parliament and it seems both leavers and remainers alike do not like the proposed deal

Parliament has never ceded sovereignty to the people so it is parliament that will determine what happens next

If they don’t return to Mays deal then they have to weigh up just how damaging a no deal Brexit would be and the risks of holding that position in an attempt to leverage a better deal is worth taking.

Parliament is not in an enviable position.

There have been intimations of civil unrest if we do not leave. Whilst this may be so as there are leavers who are passionate about their dogma and there are those who misguidedly think that the people are sovereign and parliament cannot thwart the will of the people, if there are food shortages as has also been intimated and the stockpiling / border solutions are insufficient then it is highly probable that unless some kind of rationing was introduced civil unrest would ensue. Of course food could be prioritised over other goods but that would cripple our industry.

So leave or remain potentially poses a risk to this country

As far as preparations go, when were the government supposed to start prepay and for what scenario. The three brexiteers put in charge of leaving and forging our future trade relations with the world said it wat the easiest thing ever and we can have our cake and eat it. Only later did the mantra “ no deal is better than a bad deal” emerged but I doubt many thought no deal was tenable so no preparations were started

In reality it is a mute point as it would take a lot longer than 2 years to properly prepare the UK infrastructure to be ready for A no deal scenario

One thing that Brexit has brought to the forefront is the extent of inequality in this country.
Post whatever happens there needs to be a rebalancing of local and national government spending and tackle the real gravy train scandal that cost ordinary people in the UK £38bn a year, far more than any of our EU contributions.

He is doing just that. By pointing to the UK and the turmoil it's in, he warns those french asking for a frenchit for the debacle they will get.
