Re: Security.

Would it be best to wait for my Norton refund before installing anything else?

Re: Security.

If you are going to install something other than Norton then make sure you remove Norton before new installation.

You will need to use the Norton Removal tool for this. Simply using Uninstall on your pc is not good enough.

Thank you very much Takahashi for those precise instructions. I will follow them to the letter.

Thanks everybody else too.

Surely, if you have been tricked into paying for it, and don't get a refund, you might as well run it until the year runs out, having killed off any auto renewal tick boxes.

Re: Security.

It appears all these companies are on the take.

earlier in this thread I quoted something like $34 for my Bitdefender for three computers but coincidentally I received an email from them say that something like $65 would be automatically charged to my account for its renewal.

I went on line to check, and yes, on their web site it was still $34, so I paid there and renewed my sub that way.

Definitely worth keeping an eye on these bastards, there is a lazy tax and it is quite hefty.
