Foam on Food

Does anybody else worry about this trend of Chefs to cover your food with what they call Foam ? I always think it looks like spittle (maybe it is ) and could never eat it.

I don't think I've seen that yet, but I'm in Canada. What is it made of?

Re: Foam on Food

Yuk I really don't want a chrispy chickens wattle with a cube of some obscure jelly, a 'smear' of something brown and a halo of foam Give me steak and chips with a salad anyday.

...and all that touching the food to 'dress' it bothers me .

Ick! I googled and am now gagging. I've definitely never seen this before... if it's a new trend then I'm glad I live under a rock!

Ethel is also my mother, whom I resemble very much! My grandmother would sometimes call me Ethel so I got a kick out of reading your "here you are Ethel!" There's my smile for the day.

Oh, and "cuckoo spit"
