Mmmm, doesn't it just. My poor kids had to make do with a box of Mr Kipling's French Fancies! Still thought of as picnic necessity by them as well

not long finished ben xx,got it all done,just the odd bits tomorrow.
went and got some puff pastry,its looking more like a splat than a plait,lol.xx

Oh bless bashy - try and make out a shape and call it a sausage (whatever shape) and no-one will be any the wiser it'll still taste lovely and that's all that matters.

Have you looked in the Recipe section pinned to the top of this section? I put in a Sausage and Vegetable Pie recipe, which is delicious but, for savoury, you could make jam or lemon curd tarts, Manchester tart, loads of sweet things. There are loads of recipes on t'Internet.

I was wondering if Bashy was going to come back and tell us about the picnic and if all the sausage plait had been eaten! More importantly, any pineapple upside down cake left
