We do DM, at least that's what I think they are, I got bitten last September on the 3rd finger of my left hand, I've had 9 different courses of AB's over the year and it's still infected, I had to clean it out yesterday and put a Magnesium Oxide dressing on to help draw the puss out.

Wow, that's an unusual and strange reaction to the bite! Normally it's just a very itchy welt. Here's a pic of the nasty thing; they were introduced to the States in 1985 and have spread all over the country, And they carry West Nile virus also, which has been devastating to quite a proportion of our birds. Hope your bite clears up soon!

That is VERY similar to the ones we now have DM, I suspect our ones are Arctic Mosquitoes, because the winters recently have been mild they're moving south, I remember seeing Arctic explorers in the north of Canada being driven crazy by them.
