The Ocean Is Turning into Sulfuric Acid Because of Us

Everyone needs to read these two articles and take them to heart.

I didn't read the articles but where's the Sulphur coming from? I thought the problem was Carbon Dioxide which forms a mild carbonic acid when mixed with water.

H2O + CO2 = H2CO3

Sulphuric Acid is H2SO4

I think that is right - Sorry can't do the little 2s and 3s

Water is H20. CO2 is in the pollution in the air, massive amounts of it from industry and our cars, etc. The ocean is radically polluted. Our sewers dump into the ocean. Airlines and ships dump their garbage into the oceans. Everything is there to add up to the formula. Read the article. The person who refuses to read, understand and discover what kind of lethal combination we have put together condemns us all. That's why life on the planet is dying. I don't mind what others do to themselves, but I do mind what it does to the rest of us including the wild life.

You are right Sage to worry about this and to try and inform others. I to follow The Smithsonian on FB and it is a very interesting read.
Plus I try to now and again inform my grandchildren about certain things.
Though I must admit they are more informed these days themselves in schools and such, and are already making a difference.Which I think is a great thing.

A lot of people on here are to old to change and are set in their own ways so you will get the grumblers and the p*ss takers.
It is the younger generations that you should be targeting.

Keep up the good work.

It takes us back to the question of ''Should we limit the World's population?''

I did read the articles and I'm with you about the sulphuric question. Misleading or ill informed headline.
