From watching TV programmes like "The Cruise" I know that cruising is not for me.

Re: Taking a Toddler on a Cruise

Seeing on a TV is nothing like actually going on one. This is where watching TV programs fall down, no atmosphere- not physically meeting others on the ship -and a whole host of other things like the food to name but one.

if you see a film of someone driving a car on TV, is that the same as driving it yourself? of course not. Same with going on a cruise. Don't knock it until you try it.

Re: Taking a Toddler on a Cruise

I think if you pick the right cruise then go for it

New cruise ships are family oriented , they cater for people of all ages with kids clubs, relaxed dining etc etc

Have a look here

Re: Taking a Toddler on a Cruise

We've never been on a Cruise, but have sometimes talked about it. If we did then it would have to be an adult only one. I can't stand kids running about in a Restaurant when we're out so spending a few weeks trapped on a ship with one or more would be hell for me..

And me! So few parents control their offspring these days.

It is a specifically child friendly cruise.
