Re: Bercow missing

Bercow has been accused of working alongside Tory rebels in a co-ordinated bid to block No Deal . He is trying to position himself as " the man who stopped Brexit.
I read that ,on Tuesday gone ,he claimed "he would fight with every breath in my body" to prevent Johnson suspending Parliament to force through a No-Deal .
He eschewed impartiality on this subject long ago .
Thought he was supposed to be impartial . Fat chance .
Awful little Man .

I hope they tell this group where to go. You have to admire the Dutch. If every country adopted the same standards for prostitutes as Amsterdam, these girls would be a whole lot safer, as would their customers.

I take my hat off to them for their clever way of controlling prostitution in their country by making it legal and having proper authorative control over what goes on in the red light district. Well done to them. We will never stop this trade so wouldn't harm us to take a leaf out of the Netherlands book.

Bercow is dead against boris prorogueing parliament to avoid mp's having a say on brexit. And that is one of the most important functions of the speaker, guarding that the parliament is heard. He will probably succeed in achieving that. It has nothing to do with partiality. He stopped may from bringing her deal in parliament because rules say she could not do so without the bill being changed.
If boris plays it according the rules bercow will be his ally.

Apparently Bercow VOWED to stop a no deal brexit!
That implies he will try to affect the a possible outcome
of a parlimentary process!
Clearly against his mandate which is merely to apply the
rules, NOT INTERPRET the rules!
However, no matter! If no further action is taken by the gov
before leave date, eu rules state uk eaves without a deal!
Bercow cannot MAKE Boris do anything!
He can only STOP him from doing certain things
So it is possible for Boris to carry out stated objective by
simply stalling everything and doing nothing and ignoring
all the hysteria that has allready started!
All will be revealed in due course one way or the other !
The only way to stop the course we are on is if some
totally stupid non democratic intervention takes place that will
Utterly destroy whatever trust the electorate still has in all
our institutions with predictable results!
Or if the EU itself comes up with a new formula!

When it comes to Parliamentary scrutiny Bercow will not only have the likes of John Redwood and Bill Cash to deal with, he will also have Jacob Rees-Mogg. I don't fancy his chances to be honest.

Bercow can't do anything without support and permission from the Queen either, all she needs to do is go on holiday until the 1st November and all deals are off for remain (not that they can do anything anyway).

Its going to be a fun packed couple of weeks.

Politically I can only think of one scenario that "could" throw a curve ball to the government .. but even then its up to Boris to decide and only him.

He vowed to stop no deal WITHOUT PARLIAMENT HAVING A SAY ABOUT IT.

His function IS to interpret the rules. He has three deputies to assist him with that. The most senior deputy is known as the*Chairman of Ways and Means.

Should parliament legislate for revoking A50, the only way to stop no deal, it is boris who has to inform the EU about it.
