I agree. It's the same when I'm driving and I pull in to let an oncoming car through, then they drive past without any acknowledgement whatsoever. Ignorant buggers.

Re: Manners

How bloody rude! I've seen people yapping on mobile phones in front of me at a check out and yes, I've said words to the effect "shut up and move on as you have a queue behind you" and, they have done! Mayhap it's been the way I've said it, but I do not suffer it, and nor should anybody else.

I'm probably one of the few people on the planet who does not possess a mobile phone any longer, because there's no place in my life for one, and won't allow one to rule me.

It is so ignorant of folk to answer a mobile when in the company of others for chit-chat, unlesss of course it is in an emergency.

Re: Manners

Agree with all comments, and well done Markey for speaking up. I sympathise with cashiers when the customer they're serving stays on their phone. The height of bad manners.

Re: Manners

Car drivers have the worst manners of anyone. They queue jump, don't wait and do not lift a hand in thanks. You can easily spot them in a supermarket car park

Re: Manners

I am often on the receiving end of mobile phone users at the check out. I haven't the nerve to tell them where to go as I might be hauled into the headmasters room (Managers!) but I do tend to slap the change or receipt into their held out palm! Sometimes they get the message but usually they are too engrossed in whatever "important" call they're taking!

Re: Manners

It's a pity you can't refuse to serve them until they stop the call.
